In this paper we focus on the inequality of consumption among the two members of couples in the household and how it is interconnected with other inequalities among them. We assume that securing the level of consumption and its equitable intra-household distribution is one of the main tasks of households, and that inequalities in this area are closely interrelated with other forms of intra-household inequalities and have a significant impact on the status of the members within the household. We assume that intra-household inequalities are intertwined with macro-level inequalities as well. We used EU-SILC 2015 for the empirical research, and though the data did not allow a fine-grained analysis, we concluded that the level of intra-household consumption inequality is associated with other inequalities of the couples, and that a better economic and social situation of the household decreases the probability of consumption inequality.
