Solidarity and social reflexion in the narratives of Hungarian volunteers helping refugees
Abstract
Abstract Based on qualitative interviews, the paper analyses the social representations and identifications of Hungarian aid activists and volunteers helping the refugees in 2015. It reveals the ways in which the experiences of solidarity are framed by personal biographies, collective memories, as well as the dynamic relationship between the representation of the recipients and helpers.
