Párkapcsolati formák a magyar elitben
Abstract
ABSTRACT This paper seeks to answer the following questions: What are the typical family life-forms in the Hungarian elite, and how do they contribute to the careers of elite members? The roles played by class background, education, institutional career and network capital in entering the elite are well mapped in elite sociology. The role of marriage and family is far less researched and usually appears only in social history literature. I assume that marital relationships play an important role in reaching, maintaining and transmitting elite positions. The spouse may serve as an additional resource for an elite member, whether they pursue a traditional two-person career or act as a modern ‘power couple’. Keywords: elite, family, career, marital relationship
